Description

Cheesy Stuffed Pretzels are soft, warm delights filled with gooey cheese, making them the perfect snack for gatherings and cozy nights in.

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour
  • Active dry yeast
  • Warm water
  • Salt
  • Baking soda
  • Shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • Melted butter

Instructions

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix flour and salt. In another bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let it froth for 5 minutes. Gradually combine both mixtures to form a dough.
  2. 2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. 3. Place the dough in an oiled bowl covered with a damp cloth; let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. 4. Punch down the risen dough, divide into golf ball-sized portions, flatten them, and add shredded cheese.
  5. 5. Shape each portion into a pretzel by twisting the ends together. Boil water with baking soda; drop each pretzel in for 30 seconds before placing on parchment-lined trays.
  6. 6. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Brush boiled pretzels with melted butter and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
